PLEASE READ THIS COMPLETELY BEFORE FILLING IN STUDENT INFORMATION

The Center for Service-Learning at Edmonds College is proud to provide you with this unique break opportunity.

400 West Cornet Bay Road Oak Harbor , WA 98277

When: Monday, March 31st through Thursday, April 3rd

Students will be maintaining trails, preparing spaces for next year's plantings, and learning about ecosystems through educational tours. There will be lodging provided.

The Retreat Center will provide:
o All cleaning supplies
o Mattresses
o All dishes/cooking & eating utensils
o Coffee pots
o Projector screens
o Sports equipment (assortment of balls, field games, etc)

The Retreat Center will NOT provide any of the following:
o Pillows, bedding, linens, towels, etc
o Shower items (shampoo, conditioner, soap)
o Dinner napkins
o Coffee filters
o Any food items (condiments, coffee, seasonings, etc)
o Firewood
o Extension cords
o Projectors
o Ladders

We are expected to clean up the spaces after we are done using them so try to be neat and tidy.

ALL expenses including lodging, meals, and transportation are covered.

Students will earn service hours for this trip.

Registration Steps:
Fill out the Student Information section, provide waiver of liability and photo release form.

Once you fill out this registration form, you will receive an email from our Environmental Service Learning Specialist with further details.

Keep checking the inbox of the email address you provide: You will receive all necessary updates and reminders prior to the trip departure date.

IMPORTANT: Please read and agree to the following information before deciding to register.

All students participating in the trip will ride in the school van transportation (no student will be allowed to drive separately).

ALL STUDENTS MUST BRING APPROPRIATE WORK ATTIRE! This is a volunteer trip so we will be doing physical labor outside (no tennis shoes for work projects!)


Zero Tolerance Policy: There will be no alcohol or drugs consumed while on this trip. Any student found to possess either will be dismissed from the trip immediately and an incident report will be submitted to the Dean.

Beds will be provided and linens will be provided, but please prepare for cold weather; i.e., bring an extra blanket.

Space is limited for this trip. However, a waiting list is available.
